The Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships are designed to assist up to 5,000 high-achieving students based on merit-cum-means criteria for their college education. This initiative aims to empower these students to pursue their studies without the burden of financial constraints. Ultimately, the goal is to enable them to become successful professionals, fulfill their aspirations, uplift themselves and their communities, and actively contribute to India's future socio-economic development.

Applicants eligible for this scholarship should have a household income of less than Rs. 15 lakhs and be in the first year of their undergraduate studies in any subject stream. The program also encourages applications from female students and those with special abilities.

Reliance Founation Undergraduate Scholarships 2023-24

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a resident Indian citizen
  • Should have achieved a minimum of 60% marks in the 12th standard and be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree program in India
  • Household income should be less than Rs. 15 lakhs (preference given to those with incomes less than Rs. 2.5 lakhs)
  • Mandatory aptitude test for all applicants
  • Non-Eligible Candidates:
  • Students in their 2nd year or higher
  • Students pursuing degrees through online, remote, distance, or non-regular modes
  • Those who have completed a Diploma after the 10th standard
  • Students enrolled in 2-year undergraduate programs
  • Students who do not complete the mandatory aptitude test or are found cheating during the test


Scholarships of up to INR 2,00,000 will be provided over the duration of the degree program.

Important Note:

All applicants must complete a mandatory online aptitude test as part of their application.

Once the application is submitted, applicants will receive a confirmation email, including the date and time of the online exam and instructions for performing a system compatibility check.

A unique link for a practice test (optional but recommended) will be sent one week before the final aptitude test. The final exam's unique link will be sent one day before the test.

Applications will be considered complete only after the aptitude test is successfully completed, and scores will be directly sent to Reliance Foundation. Applicants will not receive notifications about their scores.

Q. What is the Scholarship Aptitude Test?

As a mandatory part of their application, all candidates are required to complete an online aptitude test. This test is proctored, non-adaptive, and consists of multiple-choice questions. Students have the freedom to take the test online from any location, provided they do so independently in a quiet setting, without external assistance or access to technology beyond the test interface.

Guidelines for the Aptitude Test:

  • Operate the assessment in full-screen mode.
  • Ensure your face remains visible in the video feed throughout the test.
  • Keep both your camera and microphone active during the examination.
  • Share your screen feed prior to starting the test.
  • Restrictions During the Aptitude Test:
  • Refrain from opening different browser windows or tabs while taking the test.
  • Do not permit anyone else to be present in the room during your test session.
  • Avoid delegating the test to another individual.
  • Maintain a noise-free environment devoid of background conversations.

Specially-abled students have the option to show their need for assistance when taking the aptitude test and specify the type of assistance required when submitting their application. Exam proctors will be promptly notified and will make necessary accommodations as deemed appropriate.

The aptitude test is structured into three sections, with a 60-minute time limit for completion. Each section comprises multiple-choice questions. Specially-abled students are granted an additional 30 minutes (10 minutes extra for each section).

Verbal Ability:

This section evaluates word power and language proficiency by assessing error spotting, sentence completion, grammar attributes, reading comprehension, and more, primarily focusing on English language knowledge depth.

Analytical and Logical Ability:

Here, the test assesses the ability to analyze given scenarios, break down complex problem situations, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions. This skill is vital for problem anticipation and solution planning.

Numerical Ability:

This section gauges the ability to solve mathematical problems using proficient reasoning skills. It involves interpreting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from concepts like ratios, percentages, number sequences, and data interpretation.
